Season 3 · Episode 33Bigg Boss Bangla Season 3 Episode 33: Canvas-e-Captain Gets Intense Aired 1 October 2026 59mThe week's captaincy contest, 'Canvas-e-Captain', puts five contenders up against the rest of the house: Rajveer Dey, Jeetu Kamal, Nandini Dutta, Monami Ghosh and Tanushree Roy Das. Each is given a blank white canvas, and whoever keeps theirs cleanest is to be captain, while the other housemates try to splash it with paint. Most of the house targets Rajveer and Nandini and largely leaves Tanushree's canvas alone. The task is repeatedly disrupted, and Bharat Kaul, overseeing it, calls it off for rule breaches, so no captain is chosen for the week. Earlier, Anushka Ghosh and Srijla Guha argue over kitchen work. Anushka demands an apology for a look she says Srijla gave her and calls her an idiot, Srijla dares her to spell the word, and the row moves from the kitchen to the bedroom. Anushka later accuses Srijla of playing on sympathy over her injury. Bigg Boss also has the housemates write letters to their families after five weeks inside, which leads to emotional scenes.Open episode

About Bigg Boss Bangla

Bigg Boss Bangla is the Bengali-language edition of Bigg Boss, the Indian adaptation of the Big Brother reality format owned by Banijay. Contestants, known as housemates, live together in a purpose-built house cut off from the outside world while cameras record them around the clock, and an unseen voice called Bigg Boss assigns tasks and enforces the rules.

The Bengali edition first ran in 2013 with Mithun Chakraborty as host and returned in 2016 with Jeet. After a gap of roughly ten years, Star Jalsha and EndemolShine India announced its revival at Eden Gardens in Kolkata in March 2026, with Sourav Ganguly as host. The relaunch made Bengali the seventh Indian language with its own Bigg Boss edition, alongside Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Malayalam.

In this edition, housemates nominate one another for eviction, the audience votes to decide who stays, and a captain chosen through tasks or housemate votes gains immunity for the week. Ganguly reviews the week's events with the housemates in a weekend segment called Dadar Darbar, where evictions are announced. Episodes air nightly on Star Jalsha, and JioHotstar streams the show and a round-the-clock live feed.

Season 3

Season 3 opened on Sunday, 30 August 2026 with a grand premiere on Star Jalsha. Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh appeared as a guest, and actor Monami Ghosh was the first of 15 housemates to enter. Regular episodes began the next day at 9:30 PM, and JioHotstar carries the show online. The season's tagline, "Durgo Joy Shohoj Noy", translates roughly as "conquering the fort is not easy".

The launch line-up mixed screen actors, a singer, a former footballer and politician, an entrepreneur and several social-media creators. Anindya Sengupta left after the first Dadar Darbar on 5 September, after Ganguly criticised his lack of involvement. Three wild cards have entered since: actor and former Roadies contestant Rajveer Dey on 6 September, actor Jeetu Kamal on 13 September and Splitsvilla contestant Anuska Ghosh on 27 September.

By the end of September, Joyita Chatterjee, Alexandra Taylor, Sayak Chakraborty and Sohini Paul had been voted out. Srijla Guha was hurt in a captaincy task in the fourth week, spent five days in hospital and then returned to the house. Bharat Kaul, Sohini Paul, Sonamoni Saha and Tanushree Roy Das have each served as captain. As of 2 October 2026 the season is still running, and no finale date or winner has been announced.
